I have had a long time interest in all aspects of nature, received first birding book from my brother when I was in the third grade.

My husband and I live on about ¾ of an acre with three barn owl boxes, one of which is down for repair, two Kestrel boxes and several Screech-Owl boxes, most are equipped with TV cameras. In 2013, we had all three species nesting in our boxes. In 2014 we had six Barn Owls fledge, and five Kestrels, sadly, no Screech-Owls nested, but we still see two to three Screech-Owls in the evening. Over the years, we have observed a variety of wildlife, Acorn Woodpecker, Greater Roadrunner, Lazuli Bunting, and California Quail, just to name a few.

Recently we pulled grape vines from the back of the property, and we are restoring the area to support wildlife habitat.
