I have always enjoyed nature as a whole, especially animals. I began experiencing nature more intimately when I started mountain biking. I then got off the bike and started walking the trails I once road. It was amazing how much flora and fauna I missed flying by on the bike. I then started to bring a camera and a whole new world opened up to me and I began to gain an interest into wildflowers. To me, when I am out there, it is so nice witnessing nature as it happens and if you are lucky, you can capture it in a photo. Then, the real adventure begins. You download the photo and study the details and if you are lucky, you stumble across a proper identification and learn more about the animal or flower. It is the adventure in your own backyard that drives me.
