This caterpillar is all over the park now.
Has been found multiple times at this location.
Saw the picture of the flower from the other observations and it does not look like those dried things, the seed head for that species does not look like what I have here, forgot to examine the odor, dam!
Calflora doesn't have anything on it, and I found out that Comptonia peregrina is native to the east of north america. I don't know what going on. typed up Comptonia, only Comptonia peregrina popped up, this can't be that species.
Update: boom ya too late!
The scattered dry flowers are somehow pretty cute. Like little fuzzy sea anemones.
Down a cliff unfortunately.
