The distribution of many species is not current in Michigan's Flora. Occasionally a species is in a county but has not been collected and therefore the distribution does not reflect is actual range. Hopefully this project will be useful for creating more accurate distribution maps. Often we do not realize that a particular species is not recorded where we observe it and this project has been created to get specific locations on species that are not currently represented in a particular county so that we may later collect and update records. Please use the Michigan Flora website at http://michiganflora.net/home.aspx to verify the current known distribution for a particular species before you add it.
