Most months, Environment Canterbury with the assistance of the Department of Conservation, publish a fact sheet on the weed of the month.
Join us to learn more about weeds and help us document where the weeds are so that limited weed control budgets can have the biggest impact.
The weed invasion of New Zealand is showing no sign of slowing. Old weeds are spreading to new places, and new weeds are jumping the garden fence to join them. To manage all this, we need to know a lot more about where they all are and how fast they are spreading. Which areas need to be protected? Which wild exotic tree will be the next wilding pine?
You can find all of the past weeds at the Weed of the Month ECan website.
