Arkansas Monarch Mapping Project

The purpose of the Arkansas Monarch Mapping project is to gain a better understanding of the distribution of monarchs in Arkansas and the timing of both spring and fall migrations.

We are gathering location data for adult monarchs. If you have observations of caterpillars or eggs, those are appreciated as well. Photos are preferred, but not required. The data collected under this project will be used to help inform conservation planning and management for monarchs.

This project is overseen by the Arkansas Monarch Conservation Partnership. This is a group of state and federal agencies, non-profit organizations, universities, municipalities, and private citizens working together to conserve monarchs and pollinators.
