3 Coyotes sighted at about 7:30 PM. Each was about 2.5 feet tall. They were hanging out in the dense chaparral and oak woodland, occasionally coming out of the bushes into the grassland on the edge of the dense woodland. This is an area where people often hike.

Baby western Fence Lizard found at double pond approximately 11 feet from pond. He would not get off my finger- maybe because it was warm? Or maybe because he was a baby and didnt know better? Lizard was about 3 inches long from head to tail.

Found in serpentine chapparl area on the Pepperwood Preserve on the Dwight Center Trail. Several bushes of it along the trail in the same area. Lots of honey bees visiting and saw one buckeye butterfly visit. Located in direct sunlight on dry hillside.
