These leaves are part of a larger bush like plant. The outter sides of the leaves are a light green while the inner parts or the middle of the leaves are a dark green. The shape of the leaf is like a hershey kiss. It is wider towards the stem but becomes very narrow at the top. The leaves feel stiff but not rough.

These are small dandylion looking flowers. They have lomg, tall brown stems and they appear to be decaying. The petals are oval shaped and do not overlap eachother. The flower itself compared to the stem is very small. The whole flower is yellow, the only difference is the shade of yellow. The middle is brownish-yellow.

This pine cone is not as dark colored as most pine cones i have seen. Its over all shape is more circle than it is oval. The leaves, or seeds on the pine cone that make it up are oval shaped. Im not sure what they are called but they are hard not soft. The stem is short.

This is an acorn it is dark brown on the bottom and light brown on the top. It was in the grass at umass next to a tree and amongst other acorns. The acorn is extremely hard except the top of the acorn is still hard but softer than the bottom.

This is a yellow flower, the inside or middle part of the flower us a dark orange color. The outer lining of the flower was softer than the insides of the leaves and was turning a brownish color which leads me to believe the flower is starting to die.
